In Los Angeles, at the 70th awards of the Directors Guild of America, the Guild awarded the prize to del Toro for the film “Shape of Water”. According to the Guild, the director had great achievements in 2017.
Del Toro had also won the award for Best Director at the 75th Golden Globes.
