If they prefer the tourism sector, they can direct their investments to Kumayri district of Gyumri or Noy district of Yerevan, as well as to the sector of hotel construction.
“Now is the best time to make investments in Armenia,” said RA Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan in the interview with the Russian Ria Novosti news agency. Bringing the example of Tashir Group program, well-known to Russian businesses, Karapetyan offered to direct their investments to Kumayri district of Gyumri or Noy district of Yerevan, as well as to the sector of hotel construction if they prefer the tourism sector. The other lucrative sector of Armenian economy are organic and greenhouse agriculture.
“The country is a very suitable platform for producers and sellers,” said the PM, meaning Armenia’s GSP+ system for exporting 6400 goods to the European Union with concessional regime and the free economic zone of Meghri, opened in the end of last year.
