Starting January, drinking water tariff for a square meter will become 191.4 AMD instead of the present 180 AMD. The decision was made today by the Public Services Regulatory Commission, although water supplier Veoila Djur demanded a rise in the amount of 14 AMD 30 luma. Regardless of the measure, the consumer will not feel the rise: the government is going to subsidize the difference. According to Robert Nazaryan, the mechanism to keep the drinking water rate the same for the consumer will soon be presented on the basis of PM’s assignment.
