The opponent of Stella Kyriakides in the position of PACE President, CDU Party leader Axel Fischer has resigned, claiming PACE has infringed a political agreement. Fischer wanted to become a presidential candidate at the January session of the Assembly, without considering that it is the Socialists’ turn to nominate a candidate.
