The mystery of Azerbaijani apple in local markets has been solved. Four officials of the State Revenue Committee have been charged with abuse of power. They allowed a number of businesses to import fruit and vegetables, including Azerbaijani apple, illegally. The scheme is clear – the inspectors took money from the importer and did not control the car. The fruit entered Armenia without customs declaration and laboratory examination. All four inspectors are from Bagratashen department. The Special Investigation Service informs that the case will soon be sent to court.
