In the French city of Nantes bus and tram drivers tried to wear shorts to work to fight the heat, but were admonished by the company. As a response, the drivers turned up to work in skirts. They said that at times the temperature reaches 50C° and they work in difficult conditions, but they haven’t received an answer from the company yet. In 2013 a similar protest of Swede drivers concluded with the victory of the drivers.
