Public TV Company of Armenia and Lebanon’s Al Mayadeen TV signed a Memorandum of Understanding on June 2nd. Within the scope of cooperation, the TV Companies shall jointly engage in production of programs on a variety of topics, shall exchange experience, as well as provide information and coverage on large scale events, festivals and competitions.
According to Public TV Company Executive Director Margarita Grigoryan, as a member of European Broadcasting Union, Public TV holds a wide range of cooperation and numerous agreements with European TV Companies, and the series of cooperation comes to be replenished with the Memorandum signed today with the Lebanese TV Company. “For a period of about a year we were discussing in what format the cooperation shall be, and, luckily, today I am happy to state that this cooperation adds to the number of our TV partners. The greater the scope of cooperation is, the more interesting and diverse TV air becomes”, Margarita Grigoryan mentioned, expressing hope that the given Memorandum of Understanding will give a new impetus to Armenian-Lebanese cooperation.
According to Director of Al Mayadeen TV Ghassan bin Jiddo, they attach a great importance to cooperation with Armenia in different sectors. “Based on this Agreement, we shall prepare grounds both for the exchange of information, and for production of joint programs. From now on, Armenia’s voice will reach not only the Middle East, but also to all Arabs worldwide”.
To conclude the meeting, Directors of both Companies discussed in details the issues of mutual interest, as well as outlined timeframes for upcoming actions.
