The royal household staff convened an emergency meeting at Buckingham Palace on May 4. Media had previously informed the meeting has nothing to do with Queen Elizabeth and her husband Phillip-Duke of Edinburgh. As it turns out, starting from fall Duke of Edinburgh will set down from royal duties. He will no longer accept invitations, will not partake in official ceremonies. He will keep in touch with 780 organizations sponsored by the President, yet will no longer conduct further activities. The Queen, on the contrary, will continue her official duties.
