Public TV Company of Armenia has conducted Armenian dubbing of “The Promise”, a film telling about the Armenian Genocide. The dubbing enables watching the film by voices of popular Armenain actors, among them Khoren Levonyan, Babken Chobanyan, Armen Margaryan,Samvel Topalyan, Zaruhi Hovhannisyan, Siranush Lazyan, Karine Janjughazyan and others. The Armenian premier of “The Promise” is scheduled on April 27th.
Set during the days of Armenian massacres in the Ottoman Empire during World War I, The Promise presents a love triangle between Michael, a young doctor, who moves to study in Constantinople, where he meets beautiful painter Ann and falls in love. Yet their love is soon to be hampered by cruel and bloody genocide against Armenians. Michael promises to survive and tell the truth to the whole world.
To recap, the international premiere of the film has recently been held in Los Angeles.
The film is directed by Terry George, soundtrack by Serj Tankian, starring by Oscar Isaac, Christian Bale and Charlotte Le Bon.
