Armenian – American “The Art for Peace” organization had raised another 7 panels on the topic of Armenian Genocide in different cities of Massachusetts throughout last month, and has now introduced new panels in a number of cities in April only. The electronic panel shows Armenian Apostolic and Catholic Church leaders, who are sending a message of peace to Turkey in the direction from Khor Virap Dungeon to Ararat, calling upon recognition of the Armenian Genocide. The panel also portrays humanist Fridtjof Nansen’s message “If only nations could solve the disputes in between, they could easily establish a long time peace”.
The initiative author is painter, community activist Daniel Varujan Hejinyan, who back in 2003 established the given organization and has ever since been in charge of ordering similar thematic panels throughout different cities in April each year.
