The preliminary investigation over the criminal case initiated regarding provision of drivers’ license on bribery, has ended, with charges brought against 6 people, including 2 police officers. Yerevan resident Movses Manukyan agreed on a deal with his acquaintance Zhora Cherkizyan, who promised to provide a drivers’ license at the cost of 145 thousand AMD. Manukyan later regretted and informed National Security Service. Cherkezyan and the remaining three dealers have been sentenced to 3-year imprisonment, while the traffic police officers who also participated in the transaction, will serve a period of 4 year imprisonment.
