59th Annual Grammy Awards took place at “Staples Center”, L.A., on Sunday. For the first time Armenian TV viewers were enabled to follow prestigious music award ceremony via First Channel livestreaming.
British singer Adele took home Album of the Year (25), Best Pop Vocal Album, Record of the Year (“Hello”), Song of the Year (“Hello”) and Best Pop Solo Performance (“Hello”). It is noteworthy, that the singer refused to accept her “Album of the Year” award, saying that American singer Beyoncé is worth the award for her album “Lemonade”.
Other Grammy winners are: Best Rap Album -Chance The Rapper, Best urban contemporary album –Beyoncé (“Lemonade”), Best music video – Beyoncé (“Formation”), Drake - Hotline Bling took Best rap/sung performance. David Bowie, Blackstar” took 5 Grammy Awards for - alternative music album, rock song, rock performance, engineered non-classical album and recording package.
Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” took Best Song Written For Visual Media.
