Best FIFA Football Awards 2016' took place in Zurich, revealing the names of the best football figures in different categories. Cristiano Ronaldo was named European champion for both Real Madrid and Portugal, having held a victory in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA EURO 2016 . He was awarded The Best FIFA Men’s Player.
Claudio Ranieri, current manager of English club Leicester City, was crowned The Best FIFA Coach. Thanks to him the modest English team won the English Premier League title.
The Best FIFA Women’s Player Award went to Carli Lloyd, while The FIFA Puskás Award 2016 went to Mohd Faiz Subri. Atletico National was awarded The FIFA Fair Play Award, following its moving gesture – requesting to award 2016 Copa Sudamericana to Chapecoense, following the tragedy - plane crash that took the lives of vast majority of its passengers – including the team delegation of Brazilian side Associação Chapecoense de Futebol.
