Azerbaijani troops attempted a subversive infiltration on the Armenian state border south-east of Chinari village, Tavush province in the morning of December 29th. Armenian Armed Forces engaged in a battle against the adversary, with an ongoing use of sniper and grenade launchers. Armenian Armed Forces hold control over the situation, preventing adversary encroachment. As a result of military operations, both parties have suffered casualties. The following service members fell victim to the battle of Armenian state border defense: Senior Lieutenant Shavarsh Melikyan, Private soldiers Edgar Narayan and Eric Abovyan.
