As of 13:00, December 5th, the roads are mostly passable. Sotk-Karvachar and Vardenyats mountain pass are hard to pass. It is currently snowing in Jermuk, Yeghegnadzor and on Sravan-Zanger highway. According to the information released from the Department of Emergency Situations to Georgian Interior Ministry Lars checkpoint is closed for all types of vehicles. There are ongoing cleaning works conducted on Stepantsminda-Lars highway, and the checkpoint is supposed to resume work from 15:00. However, there are currently 558 transport means currently blocked at the above mentioned section.
