The death toll following the derailment of a train in Indian Uttar Pradesh comprises 133. The causes for derailment have not been clarified yet. Experts announce about malfunction of part of the tracks, which could have possibly caused the derailment. The large number of death toll is explained by the fact that the carriages were overcrowded. According to preliminary data, the train was for 1000 passengers, while the latter carried about 1700 passengers instead. Given the number of people killed, this has been the bloodiest accident for the past 6 years. The last time the death toll comprised over 100 was recorded in West Bengal, 28 May 2010, when the passenger train derailed.
