To recap, this year the contest took place in the capital of Malta – Valetta: Armenia represented the song entitled “Tarber” (different), written by Nik Yegibyan and Avet Barseghyan. The song focuses on stylistic differences between the two young singers and the struggle around it. The song presents an opposing struggle, which serves as basis for further unity, since there are three things that unite them eventually – song, smile and love.
Apart from this, several changes had been made to the Contest voting, which excluded TV viewers’ voting. Instead, the professional and children’s judges of member states made the final decision in addition to professional jury of experts made up of three renowned European artists.
Public TV Company is the official broadcaster of the contest. Valan Prof company is a broadcast partner.
