Government held a meeting on Prospects of ICT Development. The Prime Minister has been briefed on a series of ideas and programs designed to develop the sector. During the meeting they discussed the opportunities of implementing programs to create an engineering city, a cyber security center of excellence, to increase funding for technology entrepreneurship, as well as to make ICT educational programs available in high schools and Institutions of Higher Learning.
The Prime Minister was interested in the practical results on programs implemented jointly with the government, stressing the importance of steps taken to achieve long-term development in the sector. Karen Karapetyan noted that the government is creating an investment foundation, which will be exclusively a business support tool, in ICT sector as well.
