An elevator prototype existed still back in Ancient Egypt and Ancient Rome. In Ancient Egypt when constructing the Egyptian pyramids, the lifting devices enabled to lift the stones to about 150 meters above. The elevators of Ancient Rome were found in the Coliseum.
