17th century “Narek” permanently settled in the newly renovated Saralanj Church. The church was built in the 5th century. It has now been consecrated and named after Saint Grigor Narekatsi. This church will become a pilgrimage site not only for the people for Saralanj, but also for the locals from neighboring communities.
