RA President signed a decree appointing Levon Galstyan as Member of the Council of Public TV and Radio Company of Armenia for a term of six years.
Levon Galstyan was born in 1963, in Yerevan. He went to secondary school N4 after M. Gorki. In 1990 he graduated from Yerevan State University, Faculty of Philology, Department of Armenian and Literature.
Levon Galstyan served in the Soviet Army from 1983-1985.
In 1991 he worked as editor-in-chief at the State Committee of Radio and Television to RA.
In 1992 was appointed as Deputy Director of “Artavazd” creative union at the State Committee of Radio and Television to RA.
From 1997-1998- held the post of Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education and Science.
From 1998-2004 - Head of Language Inspection.
In 2004 – started working at Council of Public TV and Radio Company of Armenia, as an advisor to the Council Chairman, afterwards being appointed as General Producer to Public Radio Company. .
From 2006 –2012 worked as Head of “Yerevan Studio”.
In 2012 - was appointed First Deputy to the Executive Director of Public TV Company, in 2013- editor-in-chief at the Public TV Company.
Since 2008 has been lecturing at Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan and YSLU after Bryusov.
Starting from 2013 – Head of TV and radio journalism faculty at the Armenian State Pedagogical University after Abovyan.
