Petrosyan is one of the footballers in the football history of independent Armenia. He has played in 69 matches and has scored 11 goals total – an index, which has so far been exceeded by today’s leader of the team Henrikh Mkhitaryan (16 goals). For the period 2014-2015 Petrosyan was an assistant to RA national football team head coach Bernard Challandes.
