Ministry of Emergency situations informs as of 10 a.m. there are impassable roads throughout the country because of the snow in Gegharkunik region, Aragatsotn, Aparan, Aragats area, Hrazdan and Charentsavan cities of Kotayk region, Goris and Sisian, Dilijan, Ashotsk, Amasia, as well as Stepanavan, Tashir and Vanadzor cities.
Lars checkpoint is open for passenger cars with snow chains, what concerns tracks the road will be open in the second half of the day once the cleaning works are completed. Throughout today and tomorrow precipitation is forecast, particularly snow in Lori, Tavoush, Syunik and Artsakh mountainous area. Ministry of Emergency Situations recommends to drive exclusively with winter tires. On October 18-19 the temperature will drop in 8-10 degrees, while in Lori, Tavoush, Syunik and Artsakh even reaching 15-20 degree drop. The temperature will rise in 2-3 degrees on October 20. There will be no precipitation on October 20-22.
