Sharmazanov reconfirmed the position Armenian side holds; we are against the change of Minsk group co-chairmanship format change, Sharmazanov said.
Turkey has nothing to do with NKR conflict regulation process, NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov announced in response to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s statement that Turkey can have a positive role in the regulation process.
Sharmazanov reconfirmed the position Armenian side holds; we are against the change of Minsk group co-chairmanship format change, Sharmazanov said.
“Turkey cannot play any role in this regard, since it is not a co-chair country, the only way to change a co-chair is through consensus, while Armenia and NKR are against this change and there is no way they could ever agree to this, since over the recent years Turkey has exclusively held a unilateral pro-Azerbaijani position, sometimes even somewhat criminal attitude,” said NA Vice President. He has also reminded Lavrov the statement he personally made in Yerevan on April 22nd, which reads, that the way Turkey acted during the four-day April war was more a call for war rather than for peace, which means it was clearly against the peaceful process of conflict regulation, opposing to the official opinion shared by OSCE Minsk Group.
