CSTO Collective Security Council session kicks off in Yerevan. The session is chaired by RA President Serzh Sargsyan. Collective Security Council session is attended by president of Tajikstan Emomali Rahmon, president of Kyrgyzstan – Almazbek Atambayev, president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
During the session the parties will discuss the process of implementation of the decisions adopted in the previous summits, as well as the priorities set by the Republic of Armenia during the country’s presidency at the CSTO. A series of political statements will be adopted during the session.
Given the fact that for the period of 2016-2017 the Republic of Belarus will assume CSTO presidency, President Alexander Lukashenko will present the priorities of his country to the CSC.
Heads of the CSTO member states will also decide on the new Secretary General to the CSTO.
