Artsakh Defense Army denies the information released by Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, that a soldier has allegedly been killed as a result of shooting from the Armenian side. This information has nothing to do with the reality, NKR Defense Ministry states, adding that our front units never retaliate in case of adversary aggression, strictly adhering to ceasefire regime with the utmost responsibility. The statement also reads, that the Azerbaijani side has been recently initiating intense ceasefire violations on different parts of the line of opposing forces, by firing not only from small caliber weapons, but also machine guns and long-range sniper rifles. Adversary has also fired AGS-17 type grenade launchers and Istiglal anti-material sniper rifle.” Defense Army calls Azerbaijani side to abide by its responsibilities before international community in regard of maintaining ceasefire regime. In the meanwhile, Artsakh Defense Ministry warns the adversary will receive responsive counterattacks in case they target Armenian soldiers, NKR Defense Ministry announcement reads.
