There are still ongoing 25th anniversary celebrations of the Armenian Independence, with a reception being held in Washington DC on the eve. Among the high-ranking US officials there were also assistants to the leaders of Pentagon and Department of State, Congressmen Schiff, Pallone, Sanchez, Valadao and others, a great number of Armenian-Americans, as well as Karo Paylan of Armenian descent, who is a member of the Turkish Mejlis.
