Prime Minister started today’s government session by congratulating all the cabinet members. Karen Karapetyan has immediately given 7 instructions – to reduce the number of state agencies (PIU) and non-commercial state organizations to a minimum, streamline procurement process, as well as inventorize the privatized property. The Prime Minister has also suggested to pay attention to the quality of food, and to produce a concrete 5 –year development strategy for rural and urban areas. Given the plenty of issues included in the agenda, Karen Karapetyan has approved the draft budget for 2017, by characterizing the latter as quite a rough budget. Thus in the coming year the country will have an income of 1 trillion and 135 billion AMD, while the expenditures will comprise 1 trillion and 440 billion AMD, with expenditures exceeding the income, thus giving a deficit of 2.8 percent.
