Stepanakert school N7 after Charents has today marked the 55th anniversary of Artsakh freedom fighter, Kamo Danielyan – a liberation war devotee, who has been awarded with “Combat Cross” medal.
The hero’s brothers-in-arms, Defense Army soldiers, the pupils of the class named after Kamo, as well as his relatives have laid flowers on the school yard cross stone erected in his honor. Kamo Danielyan has fought in almost all the regions of Artsakh. Despite the health problems he experienced upon release from Baku prison in 1991 and after undergoing a serious surgery in 1992, Kamo Danielyan never gave in: he continued helping his friends and in the summer of 1992 he led the defense of Kyatuk. And this is where he fell victim to his country by sacrificing his life to stop the enemy.
During an interview with international media Kamo once mentioned “How can one possible help not fighting for this wonderful homeland?”
