The special rescue team has received a total of 36 alerts throughout 2016 swimming season
This year two cases of drowning were registered in Lake Sevan: one of which was in March -prior to the swimming season, when a 16-year old teen drowned in the uncontrolled area of the lake.
This is the data presented by Armen Chzmachyan, commander of special rescue squad to Gegharkunik region, Ministry of Emergency Situations. The special rescue team has received a total of 36 alerts throughout 2016 swimming season.
The rescue squad worked in an enhanced mode in three public beaches and holiday resorts.
