“The Promise”, a movie initiated by Kirk Kerkorian, premiered at Toronto International Film Festival yesterday. Many notable guests, with leading stars Oscar Isaac, Christian Bale and Charlotte Le Bon among them, walked on the red carpet for the Hollywood movie screening shot by Oscar-winning director Terry George. Serzh Tankyan is the author of the movie sound track.
In an interview to “New York Times” actor Chris Isaac stated he has read great volumes of documentary and fiction literature on the Armenian Genocide in order to embody a genocide survivor.
Aram Hambarian, ANCA chairman, has already posted on his Facebook profile that Ankara has delivered continuous onslaught on the movie by using numerous media means. “This comes to once again prove the necessity of having this type of movies, and we should share “The Promise” as much as possible,” the Armenian-American said.
