The leader of the ruling Republican Party (RPA), RA President Serzh Sargsyan announced at the Executive Body meeting of RPA, that a unanimous decision has been achieved to nominate Karen Karapetyan candidacy for the post of Prime Minister of Armenia.
The leader of the ruling Republican Party (RPA), RA President Serzh Sargsyan announced at the Executive Body meeting of RPA, that a unanimous decision has been achieved to nominate Karen Karapetyan candidacy for the post of Prime Minister of Armenia.
“Karen Karapetyan is capable of leading the huge wave of transformations in Armenia, guide the society to new stage of economic and political freedom, break the deep-rooted stereotypes, as well as give new impetus to economy’s flexibility. I am convinced, that thanks to his effective work, Karen Karapetyan will be able to become the unique symbol of changes in Armenia. He will manage to direct all the upcoming developments in a modern path defined by RA Constitution.”
"I have previously held long conversations with Mr. Karapetyan, by discussing a lot of issues, ranging from giving new impetus to the economic development to replenishing the Republican Party. Generally speaking, we have touched upon every possible issue. I have received a positive answer on his behalf. And I have witnessed confidence in him and most importantly, I believe all our goals are real and can be realized”, Serzh Sargsyan said, according to the release provided by Republican Party press service.
The President has also stated, that by utilizing the potentials of all Armenians, the new Government must restore the broadest possible trust towards the authorities, find non-standard solutions for our economy and public life that will guarantee the sustainable development of the country and will enhance Armenia’s positions in the region.
“The main issue the new government should be based on is transparency, the implementation of such economic reforms, as a result of public activities, which will strengthen the basis of competitive economy, and will enable every single economic entity to utilize its business potentials without facing any bureaucratic obstacles”, the President stated, expressing belief that things will work out well.
