Russian Government representative delegation led by Dmitry Maksimichev - Deputy Director of International Organizations Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has paid a one - day visit to Tavoush region. The delegates discussed their upcoming plans in the bordering regions. The 5-year-long program launched 1.5 years ago, by engaging the residents of 16 bordering communities into the creation process of community needs discovery and development programs. The priorities are in the agricultural, educational, health sectors, the restoration of the infrastructures and resilience to natural disasters. The guests visited bordering Berdavan, where 5 greenhouses have been built, one of which is adjacent to a school, ensuring full implementation of School nutrition program. By 2020, the program will be available for over 62 thousand residents in 45 bordering communities of Tavoush region.
