On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Public TV Company of Armenia, the fall season will launch dozens of new programs. While compiling the new season program listing, special attention has been focused on the selection of new programs, which are both interesting and educational, designed to please every taste and age. Along with the new series of programs, Public TV will continue to air the already existing and favorite programs – replenished with new approaches and updated ideas.
Patriotic programs
Given the current geopolitical developments, the importance of having a powerful army and the need to present our recent genuine heroes to the public, in advance of the 25 anniversary of the formation of RA Army, Public TV Company of Armenia, in association with RA Defense Ministry, will launch TV series entitled “My Army”. The TV series will present unique characteristics of an Armenian soldier, as well as the peculiarities of various military professions.
Within the framework of “The Devotees” Tsvetana Paskaleva will continue addressing Artsakh war and its hero veterans, revealing exclusive footage about their victory.
Public and Political programs
“Life in a Palm” is a new TV series with Luiza Ghambaryan as its host. The program will host both public and cultural figures, anticipating boundless sincerity on their behalf.
Throughout the new season, the host of “Mysteries of Armenia” – Stephan Zakaryan will reveal the “Matenadran: the secrets hidden behind manuscripts”.
The Quality of Taste
The main purpose of “The Quality of Taste” –is revelation of genuine ingredients and the usefulness of well-known recipes, as well as teaching ways to store foods correctly. Eric Antaranyan is the program host. Within the format of the program, the foods undergo laboratory testing and examination.
With the start of the new TV season, the program will have a longer airtime and will include new rubrics. Famous cook, host and judge of culinary shows, Gayane Breiova from Russia will join the program. Our compatriot will present both her personal recipes and various national dishes from different cuisines.
“The Quality of Taste” will have another team member – nutritionist Vardanush Petrosyan, who will strictly judge daily special hero product, in case the latter appears to have dangerous and not healthy characteristics.
TV viewers will also learn several tips on how to use and store products, while the experts will focus on teaching consumers what to pay attention to while purchasing this or that product.
The program is implemented in association with the State Service for Food Safety of the Ministry of Agriculture of RA.
Sargis Mkrtchyan will host another culinary program aimed to help TV viewers make healthy, delicious, and unique recipes. The host will share his culinary approaches within the framework of “Let’s Cook Together”.
Mary Nersisyan - the most experienced mother of Public TV Company will continue addressing issues related to child care, as well as focusing on future moms. The new season of “Mothers’ Club” will be launched in a new format – by means of an interactive game, since the best way to learn things is through games. Henceforth, the program will help learn secrets about child upbringing, maternal and child health care issues, as well as sharing secrets about parental experiences through the games.
Host Anna Avanesyan will continue addressing the fate of our compatriots: unlike the previous season, when the program heroes were women and American based Armenians, this season will focus on celebrities living in Yerevan.
In addition to informational and analytical programs, Gevorg Altunyan’s “Public Agenda” and Armen Ashotyan’s “The Triangle” will address the most urgent issues of the political life in Armenia.
Entertainment programs
First Channel new musical project entitled “Depi Evratesil” will resolve the main competition intrigue of the year: who will present Armenia at “Eurovision 2017?” The project will enable its participants – artists to approach their lifetime musical dream and prove that it’s their turn. Along with the 6 judges – Iveta Mukuchyan, Aram MP3, Inga Arshakyan, Hayko, Anush Arshakyan and Yesayi Altunyan, the TV viewers will have the chance to determine the one to represent Armenia at Eurovision. Gohar Gasparyan will be the program host.
Unlike “Depi Evratesil”, which will determine Armenian delegate at “Eurovision 2017”, the “Almighty Singer” – a new program released by Public TV Company, will enable TV viewers to reveal new names.
The TV platform will allow competition of restaurant singers, whose performances usually accompany our celebrations. The “Almighty Singer” will provide a fresh look at these singers: each of them will compete in the most different and thematic genres, ranging from folk songs to patriotic, as well as chanson and Yerevan songs. While the judges – Arthur Grigoryan, Nadezhda Sargsyan, Grigor Nazaryan and other guest members will determine the level of their almightiness.
The program hosts are Ashot Ghazaryan and Ani Christi.
Armenian singers will present their songs and performances within the framework of “Benefis” project, revealing the ups and downs on their creative path, their victories and defeats, love and painful separations. The program is about those singers, who have prioritized singing above any circumstances and hardships of life. The project host is Avet Barseghyan, who, in addition to “Benefis” will continue presenting “Name the Tune.”
Music loving TV viewers will continue enjoying “Musical Post” and the “Canticle of Canticles.”
For junior viewers
Public TV Company has prepared several programs for its junior viewers. Special attention has been paid to the selection of programs foreseen for kids and teens. The programs will be educational and cognitive; will expand children’s outlook and curiosity.
“I Want to Become” – the program aims to help TV viewers (children) identify all existing professions and the secrets hidden behind.
Every time the TV series will focus on a single profession, accompanied by video illustrations, which will provide interesting and remarkable facts about the origin and history of the given profession.
The program heroes are the children who have already chosen their profession. The program host – Areg Galoyan, will visit them, speak to their family members trying to find out what exactly has determined their choice.
At the end of the program, the guest will be assigned to carry out an assignment with the help and tips provided by an expert, which will then reveal whether the child has made the right choice or not.
“Archimedia” – TV series, which will enable our junior viewers familiarize themselves with scientific experiments, test laws of physics, and get to know the variety of combinations one can get by simply mixing several components and by using the knowledge obtained in the classroom. The program is implemented in association with RA Ministry of Education and Science. The program host is Harutyun (Tosh) Daduryan.
The “Planet of Whys” will help kids find the answer to their “Why”s, even get the answer to such questions that has not yet occurred to them. The permanent residents of the “Planet of Whys” will be Lilit Tokhatyan and Mika – the representative of Armenia in Junior Eurovision 2015. The program is replenished with a number of new rubrics – Levon Harutyunyan (the Wise man) among them. Levon Harutyunyan will help kids find the answers to their questions, while Aghasi (Senior comrade) will help them prepare interesting things.
Our young viewers will continue enjoying “Armenian Knight” struggle, thus updating their knowledge in Armenian and Armenian studies.
The First Channel will provide Armenian dubbing of recent cartoons and animations (՛՛Walt Disney՛՛), while film lovers are enabled to enjoy the best and most recent films by ՛՛Universal studios՛՛, ՛՛Paramount Pictures՛՛, ՛՛Walt Disney՛՛, ՛՛Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer՛՛, ՛՛Warner Bros.՛՛
In the meanwhile, the best selection of Armenian films will be broadcast to make the younger generation keep up with the masterpieces of Armenian cinematography.
Social
Lilith Muradyan and Vahe Khanamiryan will be hosting a new TV program in a completely new format. The program is based on the belief that there is no unsolvable issue, once all of us come together. Once the issue refers to the most vulnerable creatures – the children, then all the “conditions” are transformed into “actions”. The program stipulates fundraising; the donations will then be directed to children’s treatment. Those patients who have already overcome a disease will serve a good example of never giving up and continuing the struggle for the sake of plenty upcoming smiles.
“The Profession of a Journalist” hosts Sona Abrahamyan and Aelita Chilingaryan will continue their journalistic investigations, by producing special reports on the topics that need to be analyzed.
“An Armenian and Armenia” host Tigran Danielyan will provide further footage of the everyday life and lifestyle of our compatriots, as well as the exclusive gift of surviving in every corner of the world and creating the spirit of Armenia. He will address events and figures that represent Armenia and Armenian diaspora in a completely new light.
Raphael Hovhannisyan will present the life of Armenians overseas within the frameworks of “Travelling Overseas”, “Travelling in Armenia” and “Our Lot.”
Arthur Bakhtamyan will address the variety of issues during the “Quotation Marks” by hosting diverse guests. Aram Abrahamyan will continue sharing new information with classical music lovers.
Sports programs
The First Channel will keep a grasp on sports events, by presenting the performances of Armenian athletes in the most diverse sporting tournaments, by sharing their victories and supporting the latter in times of defeat. All the sports events will be broadcast as part of Karen Giloyan’s “Offside” and Robert Gasparyan’s “Extra Time” programs.
In addition to the above mentioned listings, Public TV Company of Armenia will broadcast documentary series about our “Victory Makers”, each Armenian is proud about.
“Early in the Morning” will commence the positive start of a working day with its replenished staff and a variety of interesting and cognitive rubrics. More information will be provided later.
