A magnitude 6.2 earthquake has struck central Italy, leaving 24 people dead and many others trapped under rubble. Some of the worst damage was in the town of Amatrice, almost half of the city is collapsed. The epicenter was around Accumoli where several people died.
The earthquake has caused major damages to other cities as well, and was even sensed in Rome. Seismologists do not exclude possible aftershocks.
