A memory plaque in memory of April war martyr Gevorg Vardanyan opened in Gyumri. Machine gunner Private Gevorg Vardanyan would become 20 on April 19th.
Gevorg’s family left for Russia when the latter was aged 6. He was the only child to the family. Upon arrival to homeland Gevorg started service at Armenian Armed Forces. He was known for his discipline and courage to save a friend’s life. Together with senior lieutenant Hrach Galstyan Gevorg fought to his last breath.
