Folk Arts Center after Hovhannes Sharambeyan will host a conference-exhibition on August 20th on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of USSR Honorary Painter Hovhannes Sharambeyan.
Folk Arts Center after Hovhannes Sharambeyan will host a conference-exhibition on August 20th on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of USSR Honorary Painter Hovhannes Sharambeyan.
The exhibition will feature Hovhannes Sharambeyan’s paintings, while the conference will focus on the spectacular moments of the painter’s life and activities. Within the framework of the event “Wonder Vanik” film that tells about Hovhannes will be screened. There will also be a presentation of the painter’s new website.
The exhibition is open until August 25th.
Hovhannes Sharambeyan was USSR Honorary Painter, as well as USSR Honorary Worker of Arts. He is the author to numerous paintings – “Komitas”, “Dilijan”, “Khor Virap”, “Old houses in Etchmiadzin” and many other among them.
In 1947 he founded painting studio in Dilijan. Sharambeyan worked as rector at Dilijan Culture and Arts University, as well as general consultant at Dilijan historical-cultural museum-reserve.
