A police officer wounded during a shootout in the seized police regiment in Yerevan dies in hospital, Police press secretary Ashot Aharonyan informs.
According to the source, Gagik Mkrtchyan had undergone 4 surgeries given the majority of wounds.
The deceased police officer had worked in the system starting from November 1993.
During the events from July 17-31, as a result of mass events and clashes with the police, over 60 people including 2 tens of journalists have suffered wounds of various degree.
