Armenian representative at Rio Olympics in the category of 69 kilograms boxer Vladimir Margaryan finished his performances in the 1/8 finals. In a fight with London Olympics champion, Cuban Roniel Iglesias, welterweight Vladimir Margaryan received a cut near his right eye, which stopped the bout.
Narek Abgaryan, Hovhannes Bachkov and Aram Avagyan still continue their performances at the Olympics.
