Armenian boxers continue successful performances at the Rio Olympics. In the 1/16 finals, in the category of 56 kilograms, Aram Avagyyan held a victory over Japanese Arashi Morisakyan.
The first round ended with Japanese boxer holding a leading position, however Aram advanced in the following rounds holding an overall victory in the end.
Aram Avagyan’s opponent in the upcoming stage is Irish John Michael Conlan, a bronze medal winner of the Olympic Games, World and Europe champion of 2015. The fight is scheduled on Auugst 14th, at 16:30 Yerevan local time.
