Today is marked with resignation of a series of law enforcement officials. According to the decree signed by President Serzh Sargsyan Hrant Yepiskoposyan has been dismissed from the position of first Deputy Director to National Security Service. Karapet Davtyan has been assigned to this post.
Mnatsakan Marukyan, head of National Security Service Investigation Department has also resigned from his post. Marukyan is reported to have retired. The given post is currently run by Mikayel Hambardzumyan, former Deputy Head of the Investigation Department.
According to another decree signed by Chief of Police Vladimir Gasparyan, Armen Vatyan has been dismissed from the post of Head of Nor Nork police department. The reason for is dismissal is improper execution of his duties, for having undertaken fair operative preventative measures, which resulted in civilian and police injuries in Sari Tagh on July 29th, as well as an incident was recorded with a journalist in charge of shooting the scene.
Head of Erebuni police department was also dismissed according to another decree signed yesterday.
