Armenian Government has made a decision to establish “Energaimpex” state company with 100% shares which will allow buying, importing and exporting gas from Iran, government press service informs.
According to Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Levon Yolyan, the decision was made taking into consideration the fact that there is currently no institution in Armenia, which is enabled to buy, import or as a transit country export gas from other countries, particularly from Iran. “Government decision on the creation of such a company will be given the above mentioned rights and will implement the latter”, the minister noted.
The company will enable to increase the import of natural gas from Iran, promoting the productivity of Iran-Armenian gas pipeline.
