Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan has assigned staff members to pay a visit to Varuzhan Avetisyan, Arayik Khandikyan, Arthur Soghomonyan, Garnik Hovakimyan and others arrested among them, to acquire information concerning the conditions they are being kept in, as well as observe the level of detainee rights prevention.

According to the statement released by the Ombudsman’s office, staff members are currently visiting Ministry of Justice Penitentiary - “Hospital of Convicts” to see Pavel Manukyan and other members of the group. The visit aims to observe their detention and treatment conditions.
The gunmen who had seized a police station in Yerevan, laid their weapons down surrendering on July 31st. According to the press release from National Security Service, 47 people have been arrested and detained in the framework of criminal case initiated against seizing a police station.
