The Committee of Education and Spot of Israeli Parliament (Knesset) held a discussion on Armenian Genocide. Upon completion of the discussion, Committee Chairman Jacob Margi announced the Committee has officially recognized Armenian Genocide.
The Committee of Education and Sport of Israeli Parliament (Knesset) held a discussion on Armenian Genocide. Upon completion of the discussion, Committee Chairman Jacob Margi announced the Committee has officially recognized Armenian Genocide.
According to the statement by member of Armenian Brotherhood of St. James in Jerusalem, Hovhnan Baghdasaryan, the Committee has urged Israeli Government, as well as the Knesset and Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein to recognize Armenian Genocide. Committee chairman has also promised to initiate a petition to take this issue to Knesset agenda.
