According to the statement issued by National Security Service, 47 people have been arrested or detained under Article 219 of RA Criminal Code (seizing buildings, means of transport or communication) and under Article 235 (illegal acquisition of weapons, explosives and ammunition, as well as keeping, carrying and transferring the latter). 24 out of 247 have been charged with various combinations under Article 218 (taking hostages), Articles 219 and 235.

“On August 1st, 2016, Investigation Department of National Security Service, has submitted a written request to Prosecutor General’s Office, about transferring the above mentioned criminal case to another investigation body” , National Security Service’s statement reads.
