General Prosecutor’s Office of RA reports about initiating a criminal case on the fact of violence against journalists on July 30th, resulting in obstruction of journalists' legitimate professional activities, as well as endangering their health. The case is initiated according to points 1 and 3 of Article 164 of Criminal Code.
General Prosecutor’s Office of RA reports about initiating a criminal case on the fact of violence against journalists on July 30th, resulting in obstruction of journalists' legitimate professional activities, as well as endangering their health. The case is initiated according to points 1 and 3 of Article 164 of Criminal Code.
The criminal case has been submitted to Special Investigation Service of RA for preliminary investigation.
Meanwhile, RA General Prosecutor’s Office has contacted representatives of mass media, asking provision of evidence on violence against them, as well as on damage of their equipment, to make the latter subject of study within the framework of the investigation.
General Prosecuitor's Office also urges other representatives of mass media to apply to the office and submit any available data on violence against them, including equipment damage.
