This Ramadan will long be remembered with pain both in Baghdad and entire Iraq. The citizens had gathered in the city center to celebrate the holy month, do some shopping and simply walk around. Children in the nearby cafes were celebrating the end of the academic year together with their parents. The city was still crowded when past the midnight the truck full of explosives blew up in the Shia- majority district of Karada.The bombing resulted in death of hundreds of people, leaving dozens of wounded.
