A cycle of intercession was performed with participation of the Catholicos of All Armenians, Pope Francis and other senior clergymen. The pope laid flowers at the eternal flame commemorating the holy martyrs, as well as planted a fur tree at Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Park.

The note reads, “We pray for the tragedy of Armenian people, let the world learn about this and always differentiate between good and evil. Let us remember the tragedy Armenian people suffered: the memory is what prevents from such crimes in the future.”
