Angered by the resolution adopted by Bundestag, Ankara has announced about canceling the agreement on curbing the flow of migrants to Europe, unless the European Union realizes the visa exemption regime. At the meantime, President of Turkey Erdogan signed the law depriving MPs of immunity, initiated by the ruling “Justice and Development” party. Turkish Parliament approved the bill at the end of May. After president’s ratification, the country’s Prosecutor’s office is able to prosecute any of the 138 opposition MPs. Several judicial proceedings are already initiated against many of the MPs. 101 of the MPs from the “black list” are from the two main opposition parties, the first being the Kurdish “People’s Democratic” Party and the second one - the left-centered “Republican People’s Party.”
