German Bundestag adopted the resolution on recognition of the Armenian Genocide, entitled “In memory of Armenians and other Christian minorities of the Genocide”. Among MPs one voted against, while another abstained from a vote. The MPs unanimously stressed the importance of confrontation with the past, as well as directing a reconciliation process between Armenia and Turkey.
It is a step and a bow on behalf of Bundestag to raise the issue of the crime committed by the Ottoman Empire. Germany bows in honor of the victims of crime.
